The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed concerning the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area regularly. The service point produced for intervention experiences a higher influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise sassa far more assets to allow the servicing of all consumers and increase access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.

For SRD more information, community members can call toll free during working days/hours status sassa on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
